I know there's a way, but don't know where to find it...

How do you set it up so two users on an Ubuntu 9.04 machine can see the same vbox virtual machine?

Thanks,
BM

Might want to read section 5.3. Configuring image write operations
immutable images of the VBox Users Guide.

Edit: As well as 7.4.6. VRDP multiple connections

If the users aren't going to use the same VM at the same time, use the search trick in the Forum Posting Guide to find more information on this matter, as it's been asked a dozen times already.

Thanks for the great advice- but I'm still w/o an answer. The best I could find was this- http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=798011

I made a shared folder, but if I try to move the .vdi file to the new location, vbox says it's missing and won't let me tell it where the new location is. I changed the preferences to have the shared folder as the default location for hard disk images, but that didn't work either. I imagine that's probably for new hard disk images, not existing ones.

To move existing images, unregister the image from the Media Manager, move the file, then register the image again from the new location in the Media Manager. Attach it to the VM it used to have and you're done.
