uninstall - 2.2.0 error and then rolls back

Help! Have latest XP and when I uninstall ver. 2.2.0 and older, there is an error and then it rolls back keeping old version. No problem when
host is Vista on same hardware. I disabled file protection, but no help.

If you do not have the version 2.2.0 install program anymore you need to download it from here
http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Download_Old_Builds
Then follow these instructions:
- 1. You need to reinstall version 2.2.0 and select repair. (DO NOT reboot)
2. Run the version 2.2.0 install again and tell it to uninstall (DO NOT reboot)
3. Run the new Version 3.0.2 install and see if it works (This time reboot)
