Hello.
What I would like to know, when at home, while working on some 3D environments, can I, with the latest build of VBox:
- Render from a command line on the Native machine. While the machine is rendering -> Ram/CPU
- Hardware Render in the VBox -> All GPU from the Video Card directly.
So, on the one side, I would have 3DSMax "simulating" and on the other have 3DSMax "rendering".
The machine is a dual Quad Xeon 2.66 with 16 GB of DDR3 and a Quadro FX 3800.
For sake of effeciency, would the setup of a VBox work in this case?
Also, could I "dual hardware render"?
Meaning, have the Native hardware rendering from the GPU and have the VBox using the "emulated Video Card" to do hardware rendering as well?
Thank you in advance.
I am waiting for the rig to get here in order to try it, but am curious if anyone has tried anything like this before. If not, possibly posting some results to the dev, if it is of interest to them.
Dual Rendering, 1 machine
