Hello.

I successfully ended the installation routine of Windows 95 but upon starting the preparation of the first start of Windows 95 (the preparation screen is being shown) the process comes to a halt and I have absolutely no idea why this is the case. Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance!

First help yourself. Read the sticky post about Win9x Installation.

If that doesnt work, come back with facts => Host, VBOX Version, exact Configuration.

Sorry to say this, but I cannot find any information or help regarding my problem in the sticky.

Anyway, my configuration:
Host system: Windows Vista SP1
VirtualBox version: 3.0.2
Windows 95 guest system: standard recommended settings (except "Sound Blaster 16" enabled, Windows 95 CD image mounted, no USB, no network, no shared folders)

Standard Settings is not exact. Anyway: Try reducing RAM to 128 MB and Video RAM to 8 MB.

Oh...

I detected the problem...

Hardware virtualization was enabled.

Sorry for having been such an impatient and unfriendly fellow!

Thanks anyway.
