vista x64 host.
no slaves running.
appears the the VB adapter is causing issues with other machines that try to access the host machine.
i try to ping the host machine from another machine, by the machine name, and responds the VB adapter ip.
causing issues with MySQL server on host, and windows net working in general.
hava also would not connect to the server with it enabled. it was trying to access the VB adapter.
i had to disable it for now.

Re: Windows network conflict
Please give the full network configuration of your Host, IP address, netmask, gateway and DNS for each adapter. You must have a configuration error, as you are the first to mention something like this. I'm assuming you don't have a VM running at the time.

Re: Windows network conflict
i needed the windows net work to work in guest, so i changed to a static ip near same range as my other machines, all the rest is the same.
running ubuntu and XP.
smootwall router. dynamic range is above 100.
this machine is set up similar. but no errors ATM, it was disabled also, and i don't remember why.
might have been same problem with hava trying to use the VB adapter to find the server.
one thing i do know, was having a lot of issues with loosing host machines resolving names.in the middle of a query.
but as i remember the guest OS did work with the networking, and once it is fired up, i don't think it was an issue. then it would use the host name of the guest.
