I have tried to install the hardware drivers necessary to have my acer 2480 to be full functional but I it gives me the same error on all the important drivers, i.e. corrupt files.

So what do I do?

Is this a common problem?

I have no clue what you mean. You need to explain it better so we can try to help you. What drivers are you talking about?
