Linux guest on Windows - screen scrambled on resize

Post by danwinslow »

Running vbox 2.2.4 on Windows XP. Linux is Fedora 11 :
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.6.29.6-213.fc11.i586 #1 SMP Tue Jul 7 20:45:17 EDT 2009 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
Guest additions are loaded and activated.

When dragging the guest window to resize the screen, the guest additions to attempt to resize things, but the screen gets scrambled...looks like X might not be aware of whats happening. I can manually drag the screen back to a particular size that matches what X thinks, and the screen becoms readable again.

I *think* the driver is xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-0.0.12-40.20090528git0c17b87.fc11.i586
but I'm not sure exactly how to tell.

Any ideas?

Question : although I have run the guest additions install for 3.0.2, modinfo still shows

filename: /lib/modules/2.6.29.6-217.2.3.fc11.i586/misc/vboxvideo.ko
license: GPL and additional rights
description: VirtualBox Graphics Card
author: Sun Microsystems Inc.
srcversion: 991704260B66885BA45B64E
depends: drm
vermagic: 2.6.29.6-217.2.3.fc11.i586 SMP mod_unload 586

and Session Information window shows

Guest Additions Version 1.4

Are those version numbers right?
