Critical Error When Browsing The Internet

I am currently running VirtualBox 2.2.4 on a Vista host with Vector Linux 5 Guest(I know this isn't a supported OS but if anyone could try to help me out I'd really appreciate it). Every time i try to run a web browser, seamonkey, firefox, doesn't matter it runs for about 5 seconds then immediately, an error message appears telling me that the VM has had a critical error and to check the log files(unfortunately i don't understand them so I'm hopeing someone here can tell me what the problem might be).
I really hope someone can help me, thanks in advance.

I don't know anything about that particular assertion, but you could try enabling hardware virtualization since it could be related to the recompiler (just a guess due to the ring-0 reference)
