Hi,
I'm running vritualbox (latest 3.0.2 r49928) on latest ubuntu (jaunty) and I would like to register the product (I already own a SUN Online Account).
I'm behind a proxy, but I have it configured systemwide, i.e. I can use browser, thunderbird, apt-get from shell and so on.
Whenever I try to register my virtualbox with my username and password, I get a "Connection refused (or timed out)" error.
Any idea on how to fix this? I want to register so those annoying invitations to do so stop.
Thanks in advance
Virtualbox registration
Re: Virtualbox registration
After 3 or 4 times it will go and stay away.pi4630 wrote:Any idea on how to fix this? I want to register so those annoying invitations to do so stop.

Re: Virtualbox registration
FWIW, the check for updates function returns the same error as the registration function as noted above. This is from two different machines not behind any proxy or blocking firewalls. The update function worked in the previous version, as did the registration (at least they did for me on one of the machines then). Sorry, both machines are Windows for the host OS (XP and Windows 7 RC).
