VBox 3.0.2 problem with a VHD image

On earlier versions of VirtualBox, I had little difficulty using a VHD created with Virtual PC 2007. Also, I have no problem with VHDs that were moved to VirtualBox before I installed 3.0.2. But I have a VHD now which was never on VirtualBox, and when I try to run it in VB it gives me a BSOD. Any solutions?

This usually involves the settings that you choose in the guest settings. Also if you did not remove the additions before you copied it from VPC this will cause a BSOD sometime too.

I will try removing the MS additions, and give it another go, though I had not found that necessary before. I also tried IO APIC on and off, and different network selections, to no avail.
