why does vbox hold open connection to 74.203.241.19?

Post by thomasbaca »

When VirtualBox is running (confirmed on OpenSolaris and Linux hosts) a connection to 74.203.241.19 (unknown if this address varies) on port 80 is held open. Why is that?

thanks,
-tom

Are you sure it's VB? I just tested it and monitored netstat -ta and I don't see that IP address, or any new connection. Using the Host command on the IP you provided, results in twtelecom.net.
