Unable to connect to a wireless device

Post by buffalo01 »

I am new to virtualBox, but could not find any information on this problem. My host machine is Vista 64 bit which won't work with a diagnostic device I need, so I loaded virtualBox and installed XP professional on it. I have everything working including USB and Internet access with virtualbox. The problem I am having is I need to connect to the wireless diagnostic tool, but virtualBox seems to be emulating my Ethernet card and doesn't see the wireless card. I can communicate with the device through USB, but not wireless.
My wireless card on the host is a Broadcom 4322AG 802.11 a/b/g/draft-n
VirtulBox network is set for PCnet-FAST III (NAT)
XP is seeing AMD PCNET family PCI Ethernet Adaptor

Is there any way to make my guest XP see the wireless card on my Laptops host system?

Thanks for any help.

It's in the VirtualBox FAQ. Unless the card is a USB one, you can't.
