Hi,

I have several IP addresses assigned to us by our ISP, on a Red Hat Entreprise 5 dedicated server. There is one Ip, one backup IP and 20 virtual IP's.

I am trying to figure out a way to map one of the virtual IP's to my guestOS which is running inside the redhat server. Its a Centos 5.3.

I want to be able to access it from the outside using the virtual IP.

Is this possible? I tried several iptable rules to do IP forwarding but it did not work.

It all depends how these vIP's are coming in, via a router? then its easy, via something else? then we need more info how this is coming in and how you are expected to manage them.

Use bridged networking when configuring your guest and assign one of those IPs (with mask, default gw, etc.) to your guest as if it where a normal ‘fisical’ server.
