I have some questions

well, i read a lot here, and the manual, but i have some questions
well i was testing virtualbox in my Ubuntu computer and my Windows vista computer
ok, for example, in my Ubuntu guest, when i run virtualbox from VBoxSDL, and i pass the command -fullscreen, it resizes my host resolution or something like that, and this ability can give me and other users that use my Ubuntu, can login, and run a windows XP machine, like a real computer
for example if the virtual machine reports 640x480, the host resolution will be 640x480
but in my windows host, I don't know how can I do this, for example, I want to test some ancient games, and a Windows 9x machine, or a DOS machine, and when i go to full screen, I see a little board with the VM screen, and blackborders and my host resolution doesn't change
is it possible, that the virtual machine changes the host resolution, like VirtualPC's fullscreen mode (I uninstalled it, becuase it was too slowly and it doesn't support linux as well) and VMware workstation exclusive mode (also I unistalled it, because it is too expensive for me, a student, and it doesn't support Linux well)
Really for me the best Virtualitation soft is VirtualBox, it is fast, small, it has a lot of support, and the soft gives me a lot of possibilities, but I only want to know if I can do something that the virtual machine changes the host resolution
PD sorry by me English je je xD
