XP SP2 on Ubuntu 9.04 - VirtualBox 3.0.2 r49928.

Installing #D Home Architect 8.0 and the VM crashes - fairly close to completion of install. Any ideas to get this done?

Log says (complete log attached):

Can you tell us how much memory the host has and how much you are giving the guest?

The Host has 3GB RAM, and I am giving the Guest 512MB base memory.

I have just tried something and had some success.

I copied the installation executable directly into the virtual hard drive(rather than from an attached device share), and executed this. Doing so resulted in a completed installation.

But the program runs slow and quirky, so I need to determine whether my other settings fully utilize my mobo and cpu (I have an AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+
, but my VirtualBox instance shows 1 processor). When I change the cpu count to 2 and I start the VM, it crashes saying VT-X not available (this occurs both with and without the Extended Features enabled).

I will look for other posts to figure this out, but your comments are welcome too.

Disable vt-x and apic, see if it runs any better.
