Re: Can't get wireless to work!!!
Connecting to the Hosts Internet connection is really not a problem.
Simply select it in the network settings of the guest. You will be using a virtual adapter to connect with and should use the IntelPro/1000 T Server V-Adapter. Ust NAT to keep it simple for you.
Select the host adapter in the pulldown box that the host uses and it should work just fine.
Sound is as simple as downloading the drivers from realtek.com and installing them. Once installed then you tell Windows 7RC to do an online update.
Use the Windows Direct Sound and the ICH AC97 controller in the settings of the guest as well.

Re: Can't get wireless to work!!!
I guess I'm just not getting it. I set up adapter 1 with Intel/pro 1000 server w/nat and all that got me was windows trying to install a driver that failed to install. No drop down box to identify my host adapter. Do I set up adapter 2 or do I need to go into host and bridge network. Sorry for the trouble VM new to me and I won't have another system to play with win7 for about a month yet.
Thanks, The Chef

OK let's try a different approach. Select bridged mode and leave the V-adapter on the Intelpro/1000 T Server.
Then click on the box that says name and select your host network adapter.
Let me know what happens.

Did what you said and got an error at startup about failed to open/create the internal network.
Thanks for your patience, The Chef

Re: Can't get wireless to work!!!
Can you take a screen shot of the network settings and post it here?
Also did you change the settings and not create a second adapter?

Re: Can't get wireless to work!!!
That's OK. Just write down everything that you see in the network section the name and what is in the box that it is associated with.

OK I will need to take this up again tomorrow. Getting late here.
I will send you a PM (private message) and you can and I can continue this there. No need to take up any more time here.
