Windows guest as a serer

Post by stsmuniz »

hi all

I'm new on the forum but I like to use Vbox as vm'er

I have a windows XP guest running xampp under a winXP host. I'd like to know how can I use the guest as a PHP/MySQL server.

Thanks for the help

There are plenty of methods. Please read the manual, chapter 6, to understand more about networking with VB. After you've read that, you can decide for yourself what you want to use. Since you're also going to use MySQL, I advise you to not use NAT with port forwarding if you are going to access MySQL directly (using phpmyadmin for example is no problem).
