backup vdi

Post by lirees »

hello to everyone.
I have a server with fedora 9 and VirtualBox 3.0.2, which runs 3 virtual machines (2 xp prof and 1 linux).
if I make a backup copy of the vdi file on a pc with xp prof and the same version of VirtualBox I can not start virtual machines with windows xp, it will restart before logon with a blue screen
I can use the vdi file created on a linux host on another pc with a different operating system ? and what is the correct procedure to copy the vdi file ?
Thanks

Check the settings of the VM, there are some settings not the same. See the VirtualBox FAQ for a possible cause.
