Bridged network

Post by zimi »

I have a problem with a network in Virtual Box. I use Win XP as host and win server 2007 as guest. I have bridged network, but I have a little problem.
I don't understand how this network behave. Assume that we have a router and connected two computers to it. In one of them we have a Virtual Box. From guest OS we can see our computers but from this computers we can't see our guest system. I'm pretty sure that I have set full duplex.

1. I would like to know how to do that our physical computer "is able to see" our virtual computer.

2. I would like to know in what relation is virtual computer with my router and other computer. Virtual computer is connected directly to the router?

PS. I'm preety sure that I should apologize for my english, so sorry.

If all things are setup as you say then I would look at a firewall issue.
