Running Windows 7 RC in WinXP host on a Lenovo Thinkpad T60.
When I had 2 megs of memory (2048) I gave 1024 each to guest and host, and the Win 7 machine started OK.
I upgraded to 3072 megs of memory.
If I give 1024 to XP and 2048 to the Win 7 guest, the system crashes spitting out a memory allocation error.
If I give 1536 to each, no crash.
I had hoped to really boost the memory in Win 7.
Is there a reason why the guest memory allocation may not exceed the host's?
Memory Allocation Crash
Re: Memory Allocation Crash
First run a memory test program to make sure the Host ram is ok.
