Hi.
I changed the network on my host and now virtualbox cant see my samba shares... my hosts is ubuntu 8.04... guest is windows xp...
The network ip addresses on the host were changed because I went from a permanent IP to a Dynamic IP.
I have changed the settings in the hosts firewall to allow netbios...
The guest can see the internet and connect to the host via http...
Networking on the guest is default (NAT)...
any suggestions...?
Thanks...

Re: cant access samba shares
Solved! Problem was in the smb.conf file on host... 'hosts allow = 192.168.1.' and 'interfaces = 127.0.0.1/8 192.168.1.0/24'
still had the old network in there doh!
