Installing Guest Additions

Post by stillercity »

I'm running Linux Mint 7 as a guest on Windows Vista (host). I want to make it full screen, but apparently I have to install guest additions first. So I tried clicking that in Devices>Install Guest Additions. Nothing happened. So then I clicked Unmount CD/DVD-Rom with the installation CD in there and nothing happened.

Am I doing something wrong?

Checking the Linux Guests forum could have been a very good idea before posting here. There you would have found the Howto: Install Linux Guest Additions + Xorg config.

Really, did you even read and follow the Forum Posting Guide, instead of hitting "New Topic" the moment your registration was done? I can't believe you read it, and post this topic, within the 4 minutes you joined.

Anyway, the answer was and still is in plain sight, if you just bothered to look. Locked.
