[Solved] After XP startup I can't see the XP desktop

Post by gilap »

I'm running VirtualBox 3.0.2 r49928 on Suse 11.1

I can start up my Windows XP as guest no problem. But I cant get to see the XP desktop. Only the taskbar in the bottom. Programs will run if I go via "Start" -> "Run" etc. The only time I can catch a glimpse of the desktop is if I choose the shutdown function from the start menu.

This problem appeared on my previous version of VirtualBox and I thought an upgrade might fix it. Sadly it didn't.

I'm still somewhat of a newbie, therefore any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you are in seamless mode. Try using the (host + L) key to switch it.
