- What are the VBox settings (all of them) for the guest?
- What (if any) error messages are you getting?

Re: Vista Guest Can't Connect To Internet
i dont know what settings i have.
i just basically used the vista cd that dell gave me and installed it.
no errors popping up or anything, it's just tht when im in networks, it says it can't find any other networks when in fact there are tons of wifi arond me.
and the shared folders don't work too(so is this related to the network prob too?)

Re: Vista Guest Can't Connect To Internet
I need to know what you used in the network settings. See below.
You need to also select the wifi adapter (Name:) that you have in the pull down window.
The guest will need to be shutdown to see or change these.

Re: Vista Guest Can't Connect To Internet
pc2dj,
host-only means that you will not be able to get to anything else but the host.
Change it to NAT if you want the Internet.
You should read the VBox Users Guide by clicking on help and the contents in the VBox program.

Re: Vista Guest Can't Connect To Internet
Yeah i did read the user manual and it said something about vista guest os not having network capabilities after installing.
Anyways, it works by just changing to NAT.
Simple. =)
Thanks!
