I'm trying to set up VirtualBox on Ubuntu 9.04 and I don't know why it's not working. There are no problems during the install and it starts up fine. However when I go to run it the error 'FATAL: No bootable medium found! System halted'
Has anyone else come across this problem or could some one point me in the direction of a possible solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Shane

Re: VirtualBox not working
Have you added your login to the vbox users group?
Also when you say that you try to run it it says no bootable media found, have you installed an OS in the vbox program yet?

Re: VirtualBox not working
I believe the lack of an installed guest OS would be the culprit here. In your VM settings, go to the CD/DVD-ROM area, put a check in the Mount CD/DVD Drive, and select either the host CD/DVD (Make sure the cd is in the drive before starting the VM) or an ISO image (also will need to be added to the Media Manager). After that's done, hit Okay, and start your VM, install the Guest OS, and after the install is done, shutdown the Guest, go back to settings, and unmount (remove checkmark) the CD/DVD.
All done.
All done.
