[Solved] BSoD on Ubuntu 9.04 with Windows XP Client

Post by TheKnilch »

Hi all,

System: Dell Vostro 1700
OS: Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04 (32 bit)

Today I upgraded from VB 2.2.4 (running fine with Windows XP client) to the newest release via Synaptic. (DeInstalling 2.2.4 and ReInstalling 3.0.2). After installing the 3.0.2 guest additions the necessary shutdown stops with a BSoD pointing to intelppm.sys. (see attachment)

This happens now all the time, so I switched back to version 2.2.4 and to an old snapshot and everything works fine again.

Same problem occurs on 3.0.0 a few days ago.

Have anybody an idea how this problem could be fixed?

Greetings
Dieter
