Hello
I would like to play an old game named Jagged Alliance 2 Wildfire. When first i started to use Ubuntu and VirtualBox the version number was 2.0.2 and Ubuntu was 8.04 64bit. The game was running a bit slowly but it was running. The CPU was on 100% but running.
Now i have Virtualbox 3.0.0 with the same additions and Ubuntu 9.04 64bit. I'm still would like to play it on a WIN XP SP3 32bit.
But when it shows the menu the whole guest machine freezes. Sometimes it comes back for about a sec or two and freezes for a random time again. This is happening from the version around 2.2.0 or 2.1.4, and i think from 8.04 to 9.04 change. I'm not sure, I don't play too much.
I made some pictures, as these pictures show you the game could run, but now it's freezing.
I have tried disabling/enabling 3D(game was running without it), mouse integration and I have tried 64bit WIN XP
Thanks for all the advices.
Bye

Re: Guest freezes under a game
Try upgrading to version 3.0.2 which came out a few days ago. There are some fixes that might help you.

I have tried that but still frezing.
Is there a way to log a program's system calls? If it would be possible i could check which call freezes the game.

VBox 3.0.10 r54097 still freezes in Jagged Alliance 2. I use the 64bit version under Debian with Windows XP Professional with Servicepack3.
