VirtualBox Networking with Port Security

I am about to use VirtualBox on a Cisco-based network with port security enabled. I obviously don't want to start a VM and have my port locked.
How would I go about configuring the network in VirtualBox to use my host's network connection without setting the trap? I had a VM setup once before and I think I used NAT but can't be sure. It locked the port on me.

NAT will work (only one MAC address visible to the switch). With bridged networking your system will act like multiple independent systems (each with a different MAC address) which will shut down your network port.
