Is VT-x technology enabled?

Hi folks,
I know some laptops have VT-x technology disabled on the hardware and there is no BIOS option to enable it. I cannot get a satisfactory answer from my manufacturer for my model (Acer Aspire 5920G) as to whether I have it enabled and there is no option in the BIOS. I can tick the "enable VT-x" and "Nested Paging" options within VirtualBox. If VT-x is not enabled at a hardware level would these options be greyed out, indicating that it is not enabled, or am I still none the wiser?
