Post by horming8 »

hi,

with virtualbox version 2.2.4, i had winxp guest os and installed cisco vpn client.
with the bridge network setting from virtualbox, i am able to connect to my vpn network.

after i upgraded to version 3.0.2, with the same installation of win-xp + cisco vpn client + bridge network,
it does not work anymore.

Have you tried to reinstall the VPN client after the upgrade?
There have been a lot of problems with Cisco VPN clients and VBox and usually reinstalling it after the upgrade fixes the issue.
I hope it does for you as well.

I have also experienced problems with VPN IPSec client in Windows guest machine after upgrading from 2.2.4 to 3.0.2. My situation was a little but different becuase my guest machine used NAT networking. After I have searched the the forums, I have discovered that this problem was specific to NAT networking. When I switched to bridged networking, the problem went away. I'm currently using this workaround.
Are you sure that your are using bridged networking? May be you could try checking and switching guest system networking type.
