I can't install VB 3.0.2

well when i goto install it it goes all the way to the registering files, and then it stops and starts to back out, once it backs out it it says there was a error installing it, press finish to exit.

i was able to install it on my xp home no problems.

my xp pro not so much

Now i restored an old configuration with vb 2.2.2 but i can't to install the version 3.0.2
I have the same error, the installation roll back.

I had the same problem...

I had to insist over an over, an tried cleaning everything up with revo unistaller...

finally I could install it, but now I have the following problem

I think they are somehow related...

ps: also had the same problem with VirtualBox-3.0.0-49315-Win.exe

ufff.... insisting, and trying to completely uninstall everything...

I guess it was more luck than anything else, but things are not working anyway... so I guess the error that prevented me from installing virtualbox is still

Windows Key + Pause -> Hardware -> Firma Driver -> Ignore

virtualbox.org
