Dell Studio 1536 AMD compatability with VirtualBox

Dell Studio 1536 AMD VirtualBox no workie.
My issue and questions are really related to VirtualBox on Linux I am posting a link to the discussion of the VBox on Windows section. Please post there so we can keep the conversation in one thread.

I have Vbox on an AMD based Dell Studio 1536 laptop with the A05 bios and the AMD-v features enabled in the bios. Has anyone had luck with Vbox on an AMD based Dell Studio 1536 laptop with the AMD-v features enabled in the bios? If so, what is your bios version and date?
