VirtualBox snapshots

Hello,

I am having problems understanding how to use snapshots. If you have a look at the attached image, you will see that I have 3 snapshots. How do I go back and forth between the snapshots and make further snapshots based on older snapshots.

For example, lets say I want to load the snapshot 2 without changing snapshot 3. How do I do that?

THen once snapshop 2 is loaded, how do I create another snapshop which branches off snapshot 2 as snapshot 4?

You can only revert to a snashop

Can't be done directly.

You can create a new machine and use this disks snapshot as that machines disk. Go to Virtual media manager and look under hard disks. Where you have snapshots you will see a small arrow click that now if you select one of those with "ugly names" you will see the name of your snapshot. Find the right one and attach that to a new machine with the same settings as the old.

How exactly do I do that? Do I make a copy of the vdi in HardDisks and also the related folder in Machines?
