vbox 3.0 - XP host, backtrack3.0 guest, USB issues

Running a simple boot-off-ISO machine with bt3-final.iso under Windows XP SP2,
I am finding that the USB preformance is worse than it was with 2.2.4.

When I connect an RTL8187, sometimes I get a complete failure to initialise the card, but extracting and inserting it gets it to work after a while. Performance is then pretty bad and cpu usage seems a lot higher, basically I have to run the host cpu, an AMD Turionx2, at 2100 Mhz to get the RTL8187 to work at all, at 800 Mhz, it just doesn't respond. This was not the case with 2.2.4

 I just copped that the insertion failures are dependent on the HOST cpu, the card won't init at 800 Mhz, I get this:
rtl8187: Card MAC address is 00:00:00:00:00:bb (obviously wrong)
rtl8187: RF Chip ID: 00
rtl8187: WW:Unknown RF module 0
rtl8187: WW:Exiting...
rtl8187: Initialization failed
rtl8187: wlan driver load failed

I'm no USB expert, but I suppose that looks like USB messages are getting lost due to lack of CPU resources.

Also, Disconnecting the RTL8187 has caused a complete guest lock-up a couple of times.
Let me know if I can be of help with any other info before I reinstall 2.2.4.

Thanks.
