I have a bluetooth keyboard (microsoft dekstop 7000) that switches fine between the ubuntu guest and the windows 7 host.
The strangeness starts with Windows 7 guest on Windows 7 host. As soon as Windows 7 guest starts I loose all bluetooth on windows 7 host, including the keyboard.
I've enabled the sitecom bluetooth device as a usb device in the virtualbox settings.
My priority is to prevent loosing the bluetooth and keyboard from the host when i start up the W7 virtualbox.
My aim is to get the same seamless functionality that i have with windows7 host and ubuntu guest.
Upgrading to virtualbox 3 didn't help nor did reinstalling the guest.
Any pointers, ideas or experience?
Otherwise Virtualbox is pretty.
I installed Ubuntu 9 as a guest on a Windows 7 host and have been able to install Eclipse. Very nice.

Re: windows 7 on windows 7 disables bluetooth on host
Since the keyboard will connect to the guest via a virtual connection, why not try turning off bluetooth support in the Windows 7RC guest. Then it should not capture it.
Mind you I have not tried this but it should be worth trying.

That worked like a charm! Almost too obvious but I would have never thought of it. This solves my problem. Thanks Perryg!
