freshly installed windows 2000 pro works just great, sound, 3d accelleration, etc. only problem is the entire guest locks up when downloading updates via windows update.

virtual box 3.0.0 with all three kernel modules inserted.

Try changing the virtual network adapter to the IntelPRO/1000 server if you are using the PCnet III now.

to others with this problem, you will have to google for and download the intel pro 1000 drivers. I'm using the MT server one.

and I had to reinstall the intel pro drivers after I installed the first update. (pretty sure it was sp4)
