Black screen

I've just installed virtualbox 3.0.0 and then a new machine (HD 10Gb RAM 512Mb) but when I start it, I obtain just a black screen and nothing else. If i try to close the machine throught the X button, compares the usual confirm module but on the background I can see the correct DOS terminal that would install windows XP. What's wrong?

Hi,
i'have the same problem with 3.0.0 and with previous version 2.x.x.
Sometime it is ok but if i restart the VBox (not host os), it shows a black screen. In this case if i stil in pause, i can see that it is running ok (logon, restart, open dir, etc.etc. in the virtual machine).

This work for me:

• stop vbox

• run a terminal

• set the env XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS="1 VirtualBox"

• execute Virtualbox from here and start the virtual machine

In this way the same virtual machine run perfect!
Sorry but I can't spent time to investigate........
