Windows host has no connectivity after upgrade to VB3.0

Post by m27315 »

I just upgraded to Virtual Box 3.0 from 2.2.4, and now all my nics in my Windows guest have "Limited or no connectivity" icons in the system tray. If I try to do an "ipconfig /renew" from the Windows CMD line, it just hangs. Everything worked fine while I was using the latest version of 2.2, until I upgraded today. :( ... I have not changed my network settings, which are two NICS enabled with NAT. One is the default AMD, the other is an Intel PRO1000.

Any suggestions?

BTW, I have re-installed the VirtualBox Guest Additions to ensure that I am using the latest version, and the system tray icon is reporting 3.0.0r49315 of Guest Additions. I have also rebooted the Linux host to ensure that no old kernel modules are floating around.

Should I downgrade?

downgrading worked for now...

Well, I needed to get some work accomplished, so I downgraded back to 2.2.4 and I had connectivity immediately! ... I still would like to get 3.0 working though...
