poor graphics quality trying to run vists as guest

Hey guys just getting started with VB WOW its kinda fun. anyway first install, figured Id try the old vista on my ubuntu 9.04 machine. the problem I'm having is I cannot get the graphics running right, Ive looked around the web, and have not been able to figure it out. the colors are washed out, I cant see what I'm typing in password boxes etc, the wallpaper looks like it is a negative, and the screen is transparent. Ive installed guest add ons by clicking on the link and following all instructions, and Ive tried to switch the resolution/bit size in vista on the VB with no luck. any suggestions would be wonderful thanks

figured it out had to do with the compiz settings making the screen transparent

hi, is it possible to disable the transparent thingy ("focus history"?) for VB only? or how did you solve this problem? Any help appreciated. Thanks!
