I have VirtualBox 2.2.4 running on a Windows x64 host, Debian64 running on the VM.;
Lately (can't say exactly since when) whenever I take a snapshot of the VM while the guest is running, VB crashes. The snapshot is saved though. That is 100% reproducible.
If I stop the guest first and save its state and then take a snapshot all is well.
I notice references in this forum to a VB 3.x - if I check for updates I'm told I have the latest. What is the story?

How many snapshots do you have?
If you are not being notified that the new version is available you can go here VirtualBox Download and update to the latest version.
