Windows 7 + VirtualBox 3.0.0 + USB-troubles

Hi all,
I installed VirtualBox 3.0.0 on a Windows 7 RC *64 OS. No problems at all here.
The problem starts when trying to connect *any* USB-device except for mouse & keyboard. USB-devices are shown correctly, some react with 'caught' (in German: 'gefangen') but they do not work at all. There is no connection to any USB-memory-sticks, USB-hard drives and - most important of all - an Aladdin USB-dongle.
Seems, that VirtualBox 3.0.0 is working fine on Vista*64 machines, even with the Aladdin dongle, like a collegue reported.
I generally cannot use my Vista*64 hard disk for my daily job anymore (I installed some hardware-bound software on it, dummy me) but would like to maintain older applications in a virtual machine with better performance than M$ Virtual XP. M$ Virtual PC has a deplorable performance, even for DOS programs, and does not detect the Aladdin USB-dongle. I wanted to recommend VirtualBox to our customers for running older 32-bit and 16-bit applications on new Win7*64 computers. Personally, I'm using VMWare Workstation 6.5 (US$ 189,-) on Win7*64 now, which works flawlessly and does all it should (except for not automatically freeing some USB-devices after closing VMWare). But I wanted to show my customers a way to use a free virtual machine ..
Is there a cure for the USB/Win7-issue in VirtualBox ? How long will it take?
Kind regards,
Richard
