Can I dkms auto build kernel modules on Debian Squeeze ?

Hi.

I believe there might be conflicting information on your website;
http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads
"Note: Ubuntu users might want to install the dkms package (not available on Debian) to ensure that the VirtualBox host kernel modules (vboxdrv, vboxnetflt and vboxnetadp)"

While using Debian Squeeze (testing), I used , sudo apt-cache search dkms. Doesn't that mean it is available in Debian and conflicts with the above website information?

Thank you.

Just try it out. DKMS might be new for Squeeze and if it behaves correct then VirtualBox should work out of the box with it. Feedback is welcome.

Thank you for your considerations. I will refrain from 'trying' until I am confident VirtualBox 3.0.0 will function with Debian Squeeze (testing) and dkms from the Squeeze repositories. Are you a VirtualBox representative ?

Thank you.
