I just installed Windows 7 x86 RC-1 in VirtualBox 3.0.0. I'm trying to get Windows Media Center streaming to work with my Xbox 360, but whenever I try and play a video file in WMC I get the following message:

"Files needed to display video are not installed or are not workin correctly. Restart Windows Media Center or restart the computer."

I have already increased the display's video memory to 64 mb and have enabled 3d acceleration. Videos play fine through Windows Media Player 12 (albeit a little sluggish)

Version 3.0.2 is out.
If you have not you should try the new version to see if it resolves your problem.
Other than that you will need to see what the files are that are needed and see if it meets the requirements included in VirtualBox.

Hardware Video acceleration and DirectX 8/9 were introduced in the latest build of VirtualBox (3.0.0/3.0.2). Although still experimental it is an improvement to version 2.1.4
Still some features are not implemented.
