Activex not working

Post by damdim »

Hi,
I have a winxp guest machine on a linux host and the problem is that when I try to watch a remote surveillance camera that uses an activex plugin to stream the video I have no image. Other activex plugins work fine. Is there something I could try to make it work?

Thank you.

You might be able to get this to work with the new version 3.0.0 release but I have not had a lot of success with this type of use via a virtual guest.
Some things I have tried and they help is to increase the video memory in the guest settings, turn down/off the video acceleration in the windows guest.

With VBox 6.0.10 - Ubuntu host - Win10 guest and using VMSVGA display setting . I can get activex to work and the video for Qsee show
However the guest window is small and I cannot enlarge it
