Networking with Windows 7 guest

Networking with Windows 7 guest

So my networking is dead on Win 7 and I don't know how to restart it.

Can anybody help?

Not this way. You must provide more Infos. Host, Guest (32/64), exact Guest Settings and Network Configuration are mininmal infos you have to provide.

Fair enough.

Host Ubuntu 9.04 64 bit. Guest is win 7 (32 bit).
Base memory 1G.
Networking Intel Pro/1000 MT Guestop 8254OEM

I'm mostly a linux guy anymore, but find that setting up networking on vista/win 7 seems more complicated. I also run open solaris, win 2000 and xp under VB with no problems. I spend some time on windows to log into work or via a dual boot for the occasional game. Vista is terrible, but win 7 seems to be better.

OK, so I solved it. It's not a VB issue, but I had to root around the web to find that I needed to get into device manager to remove the VPN stuff. Not obvious, but, well windows.
