Just installed VB on W7 64bit and used Kubuntu 64bit ISO mounted. Got the above error.

Look in the system bios and make sure that you have hardware virtualization turned on.

I checked my bios, very bare and virtualization option does not even exist.
I'm running a Sony Vaio laptop / Core 2 Duo. The BIOS is by American Megatrends

Well then my friend you do not have it and running 64 bit OS in VirtualBox will not work for you.
32 bit does just fine as that is what I have to use.
