Yes, but in safe mode no changes, system hangup (freeze)
Boot loging not create bootlog

The w2k CD also has a repair console, you could try that.

Bug is fixed in 3.0.2. Win2k now boots with 2 virtual CPUs and IO-APIC enabled.
Even switching of an already installed Win2k the HAL to ACPI-Multiprocessor works.
