I have a AMD x2 4200+ (not a 486) on XP64 and still virtualbox won't allow me to install x64 OS guests.
VMWARE allow me to do it and even qemu (a freeware) installs with no problem.
Isn't time to upgrade virtualbox to allow every user to install whatever they want ?
x64 guests ?

Re: x64 guests ?
Lots of replies on this, so perhaps you haven't read the Forum Posting Guide? AFAIK your cpu is AMD-V enabled, so this is probably a BIOS setting issue.
