Hi Guys,
Yesterday I've tried to install Win7 RC on my netbook, but unfortunately the hardware is a bit too weak, Windows itself responded very slow, even browsing was hardly possible.
Therefore I decided to try using VirtualBox with Windows 7 (Win XP SP3 Host) as remote server and rdesktop on Ubuntu on my netbook as remote client. I actually was surprised it is working that good, Windows 7 responds very fast, surfing is also quite nice, even sound works. But sadly, the refresh rate of the screen is a bit too low, watching videos is not possible although just 2% of the avalible bandwidth is used (100MBit LAN, n-draft WLAN).
Is there any way to increase the refresh rate?
Thanks
Flup

Re: Using VirtualBox with rdesktop
If doesn't matter whether you use a VM or just RDP into a regular W7 machine, the RDP protocol just isn't up to movies. This is one that I would just forget. Sorry.
