updated to 3.0.0, errors with saved states

I was running virtualbox 2.2.2 on Windows XP SP3 with kubuntu, windows 2000, and windows 7 as guests. When I upgraded, kubuntu was in the powered off state and Windows 2000 and Windows 7 were in the saved state. Kubuntu works fine. Errors get thrown on the win2000 and win7 guest OSes.

Both guest OSes throw the same error message, showing their respective sav file.

unable to restore the virtual machines state from "C:\[...]\.VirtualBox\Machines\win2k\Snapshots\{661e427c-2219-4a6c-9a10-5bb5839d8e6}.sav". It may be damaged or from an older version of virtualbox. Please discard the saved state before starting the virtual machine (VERR_SSM_LOAD_CONFIG_MISMATCH)

Result code: E_FAIL (0x800004005)
component: console
interface: IConsole {0x51994b-cbc6-486-94eb-d4e4023290e2}

I haven't actually done a power off or snapshot in a while, so the changes in the save point would be lost, wouldn't they? Is there any way around this?

Same problem here. Had 2.4.2 running on xp sp 3. upgraded to vb 3.0 while several machines were in saved state. ubuntu machines survived the upgrade in saved state, windows (xp and 7) didn't. Shut down win machine(xp) started ok, though.

Would be interested in a solution.

Thanx w8x
